Welcome to Sunderland Harriers & AC Web Site. Sunderland Harriers was formed in 1897 (re-formed 1905) and over the past century have promoted athletics in the North East of England. During this time the club has achieved success at national level at road running and cross-country over a wide range of age groups.

Veterans Just Miss the Medals at BMAF Road Relays
Sunderland Harriers veteran men just failed to match their bronze medal achievements of 2006 and 2007 when finishing in fourth place on this occasion, behind Herne Hill Harriers, Leicester Corinthians and Bristol & West.

Veterans Take Gold Medals at Royal Signals Road Relays
Sunderland Harriers veteran men's team easily won the gold medals in the Royal Signals North Eastern Road Relay Championships at Gateshead, and the senior men's team gained bronze medals after the defending champions New Marske Harriers were disqualified.
