Welcome to Sunderland Harriers & AC Web Site. Sunderland Harriers was formed in 1897 (re-formed 1905) and over the past century have promoted athletics in the North East of England. During this time the club has achieved success at national level at road running and cross-country over a wide range of age groups.

Membership
The new England Athletics membership scheme is now live. The New England Athletics Membership cards will be issued to all Sunderland Harriers members shortly.
Rushworth Claims Gold Medal at Masters Championships
Brian Rushworth claimed his first gold medal in the over-45 category in the British Masters Cross Country Championships held at Banbury, Oxfordshire. The Sunderland Harrier finished fourth (29:44) overall in the 35 to 49 age group, the race was won by Rob Whalley of Bristol.

Veterans Retain Elswick Good Friday Relays Title
Sunderland Harriers over-40 veteran men's team comfortably claimed the top prizes in the Elswick Good Friday Road Relays at Newburn and in the senior men's relay Sunderland came from behind to finish in third.
